San Luis Obispo Auto Repair

I am a college student with a very old 2001 Jeep Wrangler that often has little hiccups. Villa Auto has been so kind to me the past four years I have been in SLO, especially the owner, John Villa. However, the reason I was motivated to write this review was primarily from the exceptional service of Leo Lopez, the employee who helped me most recently when I had transmission issues. Leo Lopez was extraordinarily helpful. He answered all of my many questions in detail, providing me the confident, in depth explanation I was seeking about the problem my car was having and what needed to be done to fix it. As a gal who has limited knowledge about cars, especially all the technical pieces of the puzzle, it was so reassuring to have Leo Lopez break it all down for me so I knew where my money would be going. As a worker of two part time jobs and being a full student, where I spend matters. Leo Lopez did not hesitate to help in every way he could, and was extremely empathetic to my situation. I am so impressed with the customer service he provided. Thank you Leo—and thank you Villa! Would highly recommend this place and these individuals to help with your car troubles.

Last Sunday, we got a flat tire near San Luis Obispo. After a short call via AAA, I confirmed that Villa Automotive was open and would fix the tire (the Acura RDX does not have a spare). The tire was fixed in less than an hour, though the blade cut through the threads. We were able to travel 300 miles, though no faster than 65 mph, and we were told to replace the tire as soon as possible. The service was great, the staff was friendly, and the price was good. Highly recommend!

This review should have been made years ago.....My wife and I planned a long family getaway that included a week and half drive stopping at scenic and memorable locations along the Cali coast with our three small children. We were not more than two days in to incredible fun when arriving at a Pismo Beach Hotel on a Saturday late afternoon my Suburban started to make a noise that I instantly recognized as a water pump squeak. Our suburban was not that old so it was a surprising situation and totally unexpected. Immediately calling around, we could find no one that was open or willing to assist the next day - being a Sunday! This was going to cause quite a problem as we had a planned a one day layover to visit Hearst Castle and lunch at the Madonna Inn. AAA did not have anyone to call as well - My wife had a great idea and called the front desk, he recommended Villa Automotive a family owned business, we literally caught Frank walking out the door for the day. When I explained my situation, he said, bring your truck in tomorrow morning and let me see what I can do. I arranged for a rental car and dropped off the car to Villa in the a.m. As soon as we arrived they began working. By that evening just as we sat down for dinner at Mclintocks I received a call from Frank saying my truck was ready to go and I could pick it up anytime. We made arrangements to do so later that same evening! WOW was that a blessing! Because of Villa, a family owned company, cared about my family and the extensive planning we had done, THEY went the extra mile in allowing us to keep our arrangements as they were. Just incredible! I need to apologize as this review is way over due and for years has been on my mind, I have and will never forget the kindness they showed us and HIGHLY recommend this amazing team that went the extra mile and allowed our family to continue to make fantastic memories together. Thank you again Villa Automotive Team!

Leo was awesome! He took the time to explain what was wrong with my vehicle and the repairs needed. He is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Leo and Rich were very kind and helpful! They got me in right away and kept me updated one everything. Very thankful for their help!

While I didn’t actually end up getting my problem fixed (The car has a lot of problems and it’s not worth it anymore) Ron were very kind and upfront with what he was going to be able to do! Going to an auto shop as a girl who doesn’t know a lot about cars can be kind of daunting but I appreciate that I felt respected and they communicated clearly. Additionally, they drove me to my work and even drove my car back to me for me.

Thank you villa automotive & autobody for taking car of my smog needs. Really happy that this place is star certified! The staff was very professional, polite, explained everything and answered any questions i had.
